What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, analyse traffic, and improve the user experience. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session data.
What we use and why
We use three categories of cookies and tracking technologies:
| Service | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Analytics | Analytics | Anonymous, cookieless page-view analytics. No personal data or IP address is stored. Compliant without consent under most EU guidance. | Session only |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Analytics | Measures Core Web Vitals (page load speed) anonymously to help us improve performance. | Session only |
| Google Analytics 4 | Analytics | Tracks page views, session duration, and traffic sources to help us understand how visitors use the site. IP anonymisation is enabled. | Up to 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | Marketing & Insights | Records anonymised session replays and generates heatmaps so we can identify usability issues. No personally identifiable information is captured. | Up to 13 months |
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are only activated after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights run without cookies and do not require consent.
Your choices
When you first visit stellos.com, a cookie banner allows you to accept all, reject all, or adjust your preferences by category. Your choice is saved in your browser and no tracking scripts are loaded before you decide.
You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site or by contacting us at contact@stellos.com.
You may also opt out directly with each provider:
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on
- Microsoft Clarity: Microsoft Privacy Statement
Legal basis
We process data via analytics and insight cookies on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Vercel's cookieless analytics are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in monitoring site performance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever we change which cookies or tools we use. The date above reflects the most recent revision.
